As Spring 2009 is already rife with nature and weather-oriented inspirations, it is no surprise to see water play a seminal role in the themes and palettes of many of the first major shows of Milan’s Spring 2009 Fashion Week. On the fashion forecast: stormy English Summers at Burberry Prorsum, while Pringle’s evocation of the azure depths of swimming pools and inevitably cute nautical themes at D&G also echo H20’s influence. In today’s industry where music and fashion are seemingly intertwined, Rihanna can officially call herself an artist. According to reports, the “Disturbia” singer is set to put out her own line of clothing. Def Jam’s platinum girl said earlier this year that she was interested in the prospect, indicating “There might be a clothing line on the horizon, maybe underwear.”Although Rihanna has never tried her hand at designing clothes she has previously embarked on similar business ventures. After the release of her mega hit “Umbrella” she came out with a line of umbrellas. She also linked up with H&M to design casual wear for their “Fashion Against AIDS” campaign.

Actress Heather Locklear was arrested yesterday in the Santa Barbara area for suspicion of driving under the influence.  Police are reporting that alcohol is not believed to be the culprit and tests are being conducted to check for drug use.

Locklear was released on her own recognizance without needing to post bail.  This year has been one hell of a year for the actress and her ex-husband Richie Sambora.  In March, Sambora was also arrested for driving under the influence.  He was arrested with his and Locklear’s 10 year old daughter Ava and her young cousin in the car.

Paris Hilton will launch Fairy Dust, her latest fragrance for women, next month. The ad campaign will feature Hilton as a fairy, and will debut later in the year. Neil Katz of Parlux Fragrances (the company that holds the Paris Hilton fragrance license) noted that “Everybody hates Paris, but she is on the front page”.

Fairy Dust is a floral fragrance developed by perfumer Cecile Krakower. The notes include “sparkling prosecco accord”, pink peony, orange blossom, spring gardenia, water lily, peach nectar, sueded patchouli, cashmere musk and vanilla cream.

Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman were seen cruising around in a glacier white Rolls Royce Phantom. First debuting her post-baby body at the 2008 MTV VMA awards, it’s definitely been a while since the ex-pop queen has been spotted out and about, according ridelust.com

Screen legend Sean Connery is the new face of Louis Vuitton.

We hear the famed James Bond star was snapped for the luxury brand’s new print ad campaign during a photoshoot with famed photog Annie Leibovitz earlier this month.

Connery’s Vuitton ads will be unveiled in October, just in time for this Fall’s 007 feature, The Quantum of Solace.
