Kate Bosworth was out last night in New York promoting her latest flick, 21, at the screening hosted by the Cinema Society & Calvin Klein Jeans, and a few other familiar faces showed up to the after party too. Mary-Kate Olsen pouted for the camera in a loose fitting black satin jump suit, paired a bright pink belt and that Miu Miu clutch she was first seen clutching back at the CFDA awards in 2007. A nice chic ensemble, I kind of think the clutch overpowers the outfit and doesn’t compliment it at all. Kate wore a strapless Calvin Klein dress (after all she is CK jeans’ current face) with the only splash of colour in her orange glossy lips. Helena Christensen also opted for the dark colours in a lace trimmed black satin mini dress with a navy blazer worn over the top. Who’s look did you like, and who’s was just oh so wrong?

Anne Klein AK has always had the most diverse watches. And I especially love this spring/summer line. They all look so light and airy! I’m partial to a white watch for this season, so here are my selections: the white leather wide band watch with silvertone case; the narrow white leather band with oversized goldtone case; or the silver chains with the oval goldtone case. I’m really torn about which one to choose. They all come for under $100 at Zappos.com Hmm, maybe I’ll get all three.

These Nicolet flats from Bronx will go great with pants or jeans. I love the fact that the bronze-tone buckles will be peeking from under the pant hems. The sapphire blue color is gorgeous, and they also come in a more universal brown. At only $79 at endless.com, I know I’m getting them right away!

This is a vintage silk with white and navy diamond pattern accented with rust circles. The headband for is only 1/4″ within a channeled pocket that measures around 1 3/4″ wide. The tails are 18″ long.
The advantage of a skinnier headband in a wide fabric pocket allows for a lot of comfort. The plastic headband form doesn’t ache at your head after many hours of wear.
Simply tie the tails around your ponytail, or at the nape of your neck under your hair letting the tails show at the bottom.

The inner plastic headband form is 1” wide, and the fabric casing makes it a total of 1 5/8” wide. This feels nice and solid on your head, giving you that great feeling of “pulling your hair back”! It can get a bit tight in a long day, until you get it more trained to your head.
This fabric is vintage men’s handkerchief fabric. The headband itself is about 15” inches, with the tails 17”-18” long. They are great to tie around your ponytail or at the nape of your neck, allowing the tails to show at the bottom of your hair.
The design is a sage green, yellow, and white oval pattern on a cranberry background.

I love going to Sephora - I also don’t quite understand how running in to get Dior’s mascara will inevitably turn into a $200 purchase; however, great products mean that we must have a great way of carrying it. For me, nothing can just have a practical purpose - there has to be a bit of pop. In terms of pop, I love the fact that after a recent visit to Etsy (yes it is becoming one of my favorite sites so I will make sure that you guys will definitely take a peek to see the level of style and creativity that is comign from there), I came across Chicago designer, Haley Handmade. I love that this makeup pouch uses upholstery (love this - I have a coat that uses this fabric and I love the rich tones that come out in this coat) and there is a magnetic closure which is always a nice touch. Haley doesn’t survive on makeup pouches alone, you’ll see her flare in eye pillows, hair bands and satchels. I love that her items are handmade and that she is a midwest girl as well! Take some time to visit this crafty lady and of course to see other fab designers.

It can be a challenge to see instantaneous skin improvement via an at home treatment. But I was pleasantly surprised after testing Philosophy’s Oxygen Peel this week. It’s the perfect treatment for Spa at Home Sunday!

The Oxygen Peel consists of 10 enzyme tablets and an oxygen cream. Break open one caplet (you can even use 1/2 to extend the life of the kit) and mix with warm water. Shake until the liquid becomes a light gel and apply to skin, avoiding eyebrows and the hairline. Leave the gel on the skin for just 1-3 minutes, then apply the oxygen cream, which foams up nicely when mixed. Remove with the mini plastic spatula provided for extra exfoliation.
Philosophy recommends using the Oxygen Peel weekly and prior to special events. Unlike a more invasive facial or peel, there are no nasty side effects. Just gorgeous glowing skin and tiny, barely visible pores. Love!
